Scene depicting masons building the Abbey of St Genevieve in Paris, said to have been founded in 502 AD by the Frankish King Clovis I (466-511 AD) who appears in the foreground with his queen, Clotilde. 19th century illustration after a tapestry in a series depicting the life of Clovis, known as "L'Histoire du Fort Roy Clovis", in Reims, France.
