Jesus at the Sea of Tiberias, 1909. An interpretation of one of the Gospel passages that takes place on the shores of Lake Tiberias, cited repeatedly in the Bible as the Sea of Galilee or by the name of Gennesaret. Jesus stands on rocks above the lake, contemplating the twilight sky and its reflection in the water. There is a sketched crowd, almost ghostly in appearance, and bonfires on the shores of the lake.
