Summit of the Pordoi Pass, Dolomites, Italy, c1955. Tourist buses at the Albergo Savoia, (Savoy Hotel) in the Dolomite Mountains, with signs advertising the cafe, restaurant and bar, and postcards. The Pordoi pass, at an altitude of 2,239 metres (7,346 feet), is the second highest surfaced road traversing a pass in the Dolomites.
