Priory Church of St Mary, Deerhurst, Gloucestershire, 2010. St Mary's Priory Church dates from the 10th century, making it one of the few remaining Anglo-Saxon monastic buildings in existence in England. The building was altered by the Normans however, with the destruction of the original apse and the addition of side aisles.
