Outskirts of the Monasterio de Piedra (Aragón), 1856. A landscape in the surroundings of the Monasterio de Piedra, Nuévalos (Zaragoza). The convent, located near the river Piedra, gives its name to the Natural Park that was created around it. On the left, there are bushes in front of a rustic stone wall, which serves as a boundary and over which a large grove of trees appears. In the background, there is a mountain slope silhouetted against the sky. To the right, a stream runs over a stony riverbed, which is bordered by vegetation.
