Newton, 1869. Statue of British mathematician and astronomer Isaac Newton, by Joseph Durham. One of 22 sculptures on the façade of 6 Burlington Gardens, an Italianate Grade II*-listed building in Mayfair, designed by Sir James Pennethorne between 1867 and 1870 as headquarters for the University of London. It is currently used by the Royal Academy of Arts.
