'Macklin's House, Tavistock Row', (1881). The house of actor Charles Macklin (1690-1797) at Tavistock Row, Covent Garden, London. Irish-born actor and dramatist Macklin performed at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. He accidentally killed a man, supposedely in a fight over a wig, and was acquitted.
