Lanercost Priory Cumberland, England, UK, 20th century. Founded by Robert de Vaux between 1165 and 1174, to house Augustinian Canons, Lanercost Priory was constructed, at least in part, from stones from Hadrian's Wall, and includes a number of Roman inscriptions built into its fabric.
