Don Ramiro's dream - The apparition of James to Ramiro I, 1888. The King of Asturias Ramiro I (791-850), on the eve of the Battle of Clavijo, and while he slept, had a dream in which James (St James the Apostle) appeared to him, suggesting his miraculous intervention to help the Christians win the war, advising him to go into battle the next day.
