Georges Perrot, Directeur de l'École Normale Supérieure, 1855-1859. Portrait of French archaeologist Georges Perrot (1832-1914), principal of the École Normale Supérieure, a grande école in Paris. Perrot also taught at the Sorbonne. He discovered a first fragment of the Gortyn code in 1857.
