Foiled conspiracy led by the Prince of Asturias, Ferdinand of Bourbon, to bring about the fall of Manuel Godoy and put Queen Maria Luisa of Parma under control. Meeting between canon Juan Escóiquiz Morata (1747-1820) and the ambassador of the French Empire in Madrid, François de Beauharnais (1714-1800) to gain Napoleon's support. 1807.
