Reliquary, 14th century, (1881). Etching of a medieval reliquary (a container for the relics of saints). The polygonal crystal container is mounted in silver, with the ends showing saints and other religious figures. It is described as 'Church Plate' with no indication of where it was made. From "The South Kensington Museum", a book of engraved illustrations, with descriptions, of the works of art in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London (formerly known as the South Kensington Museum).
