Dudgrove double lock above Lechlade, Thames and Severn Canal, 1814. Dudgrove, about 3/4 mile from the Thames, was the second pound lock on the canal from where it connected with the river. The engineer of the canal, which opened in 1789, was Robert Whitworth the Elder (d1799).
