Women hand-decorating souvenir mugs commemorating the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, 1953. Wedgwood pottery production, Staffordshire. The souvenir mugs for the coronation on 2 June 1953 were designed by Professor Richard Guyatt (1914-2007), the youngest ever professor at the Royal College of Art. He acted as consultant designer to Wedgwood, WH Smith and other British companies.
