Wedgwood pottery production, Staffordshire, c1953. Woman hand-painting souvenir mugs for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953. The mugs were designed by Professor Richard Guyatt (1914-2007), the youngest ever professor at the Royal College of Art. He acted as consultant designer to Wedgwood, WH Smith and other British companies.
