Tragedy at the bottom of a well, 1932. 'Une Tragédie au Fond d'un Puits'. A well-digger was trapped in a landslide while drilling. His rescuers dug for four days, and managed to introduce some oxygen into the space in which he was trapped. They could hear his cries for help, but when they finally reached him, he had died.
