'The Virgin's Coronation', c1455, (1939). Christ, sometimes accompanied by God the Father and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, places a crown on the head of Mary as Queen of Heaven. The illustration is part of the manuscript Livre d'heures d'Etienne Chevalier by Jean Fouquet. Forty pages of it (including this work) are held by the Musee Conde, Chantilly, France.
