The Pastime, 1884. A family amuse themselves by dressing their dog in children's clothes. On the right is a jester playing a stringed instrument to accompany the dog as it dances. On the floor are a hoop, and cards with letters which have possibly been used to try and get one of the other dogs to spell out words.
