The Launch of Blanchard's Balloon at The Hague in 1785, 1785. The air balloon of the Frenchman Jean-Pierre Blanchard in the palace garden at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague on July 12, 1785. The balloon is being filled within a cordon around which the public has gathered. The balloon landed near the village of Zevenhuizen. First mapping of manned hot air balloon in the Netherlands.
