The gunship 'Iltis' is wrecked, 1896, (1936). 'Untergang Des Kanonenbootes "Iltis"'. The German gunboat Iltis sank in the East China Sea off China's Shandong Peninsula near Tsingtao during a typhoon. 77 lives were lost, with 11 survivors.
