The Fair Maids House, Perth, Scotland, c1955. Above the door is written: Grace and Peace, and to the right is the date 1393. The building partly dates from 1475, but mostly from 1629. It is of two storeys, built of rubble, with a stair tower and slated roof. The house is most noted for providing part of the inspiration for Sir Walter Scott's novel "The Fair Maid of Perth" (1828).
