Stages in facial reconstruction of the bathrocranic skull. The dry skull. The first stage of the process is to pinpoint various landmarks on the skull using a computer. A computer generation of the face is then achieved based upon the known thickness of facial muscle and skin. A bathrocranic skull has a pronounced bump at the back of the head.
