Mural painting in the Grant Family House, Saco, Maine, USA, (1928). 'About 1820', historic house at 72 Grant Street in Saco, built in 1825. The Grant House is notable for its well-preserved stencilled artwork on the walls. Above the fireplace in the parlour are two peacocks with four baskets. Plate CXV, fig 214, from "An Encyclopaedia of Colour Decoration from the Earliest Times to the Middle of the XIXth Century" with explanatory text by Helmuth Bossert.
