'L'Etang', (The Ponds), 19th century, (1910). Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot, (1796-1875) was a French painter and engraver French. His father bought a house at Ville d'Avray on the edge of the ponds in 1817 where Camille occupied a small modest room. He spent long hours at the edge of ponds in the Hauts-de-Seine ( France ).
