Joseph Hollman and Camille Saint-Saëns, 1907. Portrait of Dutch cellist Hollman (1852-1927), left, and French composer Saint-Saëns (1835-1921). Saint-Saëns' Cello Concerto No. 2 in D minor, Op. 119, composed in 1902, is dedicated to Hollman, who gave the first performance on 5 February 1905 in Paris.
