'His Majesty's Cottage, as seen from the Lawn', 1823. View of the Royal Lodge at Windsor in Berkshire, residence of George, Prince of Wales (later King George IV). Additions by architect John Nash were made to the building, known as the Prince Regent's Cottage, which was built in the contemporary style of the cottage orné, with thatched roofs, verandas and a conservatory.
