'...the Bishops in St. Peter's on the opening day...They are entering the Council Chamber, and the small figures in the distance are the Bishops taking their seats. The figure on the right is the old statue of St. Peter, magnificently attired; there is a crowd of figures behind. We see the feet of a large statue of St. Longinus the martyr above them'.
