'Patrol leader's hat badge; scarf of troop colour; all-round cords for six badges; staff of shoulder height, with patrol flag (Woodpigeon Patrol); scout badge on pocket, with two stripes to show patrol leader's rank; service stars; shoulder knot of patrol colours; King's Scout badge; First Class badge; green garters'. The Scouting movement was founded by Robert Baden-Powell in 1908. The original Boy Scout uniform consisted of a khaki shirt and shorts, a neckerchief or 'scarf', campaign hat and a Scout staff.
