Balcombe Viaduct, West Sussex, 1954. Designed by John Urpeth Rastrick and David Mocatta and built in 1841, the Balcombe Viaduct over the River Ouse on the London-Brighton line north of Haywards Heath is 1475 ft long and is carried on 37 semi-circular arches with pierced piers. Part of the Ouse Valley Railway.
