Appledore (House) hotel and landing, Isles of Shoals, N.H. i.e. Maine, between 1901 and 1906. Showing one of the steamboats called the Sagamore. Appledore House was built in 1847 by Thomas Laighton and Levi Thaxter. It became a busy resort, and in 1905 hosted delegates for the Russo-Japanese Peace Treaty discussions in Portsmouth.
