Beautiful examples of the potter's craft: a fine pair of Worcester vases and a splendid "Solon" vase, 1909. 'China: Ancient & Modern. The pair of Worcester vases illustrated figured in the Worcester Exhibit at the Anglo-French Exhibition, and were photographed by Sir Benjamin Stone for the permanent record of the Exhibition. ''Solon" ware is getting rarer and rarer, and very little of it is left in the hands of the dealers.' From "Illustrated London News", 1909.
