Admiralty Arch decorated for the coronation of Elizabeth II, London, June 1953. View of Admiralty Arch in Westminster, with union jacks and crowns, the night before the Queen's coronation. In the foreground are temporary grandstands. The building, designed by Aston Webb and completed in 1912, housed government offices, including the residence of the First Sea Lord, and was used by the Admiralty.
