Lilies in a vase and quote from the Bible, 1849. Two-line quotation in Latin from Matthew 6:28-29: 'Considerate lilia agri quomodo crescunt amen dico vobis quoniam nec Salomon in omnia gloria sua coopertus est sicut unum ex ipsis'. (Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; truly I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of these). Additional title-plate from "Floriated Ornament: A Series of Thirty-one Designs", by Augustus Welby Pugin, Architect, [London: Henry G. Bohn, 1849].
