Je crois pouvoir dire, sans me flatter, que celle-ci est un véritable chef-d'oeuvre!, c1855. (I think I have to admit in all modesty that this one is a true masterpiece!) La Potichomanie (potichomania). Potichomania was a process invented in the 18th century to imitate expensive Chinese porcelain. It involved cutting out paper illustrations, gluing them to the inside of a glass vase, and then coating the exterior surface with a background paint to give the piece the appearance of painted porcelain.
