The Irish State Coach, Royal Mews London, 1953. Press call in the lead up to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953. From 1861 the Irish State Coach became Queen Victoria's state carriage of choice, as she declined to use the Gold State Coach following the death of Prince Albert.
