Wedgwood pottery production, Staffordshire, c1953. Man working on 'God Save The Queen' artwork for souvenir mugs produced for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953. The mugs were designed by Professor Richard Guyatt (1914-2007), the youngest ever professor at the Royal College of Art. He acted as consultant designer to Wedgwood, WH Smith and other British companies.
