Rhymney ironworks, Mid-Glamorgan, South Wales, 1870s. Furnaces (often erroneously referred to as "Egyptian" furnaces) situated on the Bute (West Bank) Ironworks site viewed from east north east. Four Whitwell stoves seen on the left. The furnaces were built 1825-1826 and subsequently numbered 4,5,6 in 1884 under the Rhymney Iron Company Limited.
