Christ crucified, Cristo de la Luz Shrine, Toledo, Castile-La Mancha, Spain, 2022. Replica in the apse of the Cristo de la Luz (Christ crucified), polychromed wood carving made in the Arteaznarez workshop. The Gothic original is housed in the Museum of Santa Cruz. Above is a Romanesque fresco depicting Christ in Majesty (Pantocrator) seated on a throne upon the celestial sphere, surrounded by the Tetramorphs. Former mosque, built at the end of the 10th century and converted into a Christian church in the 12th century.
