Pope Luna in the castle of Peniscola, where he took refuge in 1411 until his death after being excommunicated by Martin V Benedict XIII (Pedro Martínez de Luna) (1328-1423), known as Pope Luna, 1890. The last pope of the obedience of Avignon during the Western Schism, (1318-1417), he was elected pontiff in 1394. From "Glorias Españolas" (Glories of Spain), Vol II, published in Barcelona, 1890.
