War of the Spanish Succession: Catalonia campaign - Siege of Barcelona, 1714, (1891). On 6 September 1714, in the presence of the Bourbon general Asfeld, General Josep Bellver (General Josepet), read a document in which the Three Braços resolved not to accept any capitulation from the city of Barcelona, following the edict of King Philip V demanding due obedience.
