Cloch Point, Firth of Clyde, Inverclyde, Scotland, c1955. The Cloch Lighthouse was designed by Thomas Smith and his son-in-law Robert Stevenson. The building, to warn ships of The Gantocks, a shipping hazard, was completed in 1797.
