Martyrdom of Saints Simon and Judas, after 1435. One of two altarpiece wings depicting the Martyrdom of the Apostles. In Western Christianity, Simon and Jude the Apostle share their feast day on 28 October. The most widespread tradition is that after evangelising in Egypt, Simon joined Jude in Persia and Armenia or Beirut in today's Lebanon, where both were martyred in 65 AD.
