Charles II at the moment of exorcism, 1890. Charles II, called the Bewitched (1661-1700). King of Spain (1665-1700). It was believed that the king was under the influence of an evil spell, which led to exorcisms that would ended his ill health and allow him to beget an heir to the throne.
