Saints Antony the Hermit and Lucy-From Porto San Giorgio Altarpiece, c1470. St Anthony, on the left, is an old man with an ascetic face, a long grey beard and moustache. He is dressed in a lilac-pink robe and a dark habit. In his left hand he holds a staff, and in his right, bent hand a bell. Saint Lucia, with a slight turn of her torso to the left, with her head slightly inclined to the right, with lowered eyes, holds a martyr's palm in her right hand, and in her left a tray on which her eyes lie. She is dressed in a blue dress and a pink and purple coat lined with green lining. The dress bodice is laced. Gold trim around the neckline and a gold belt at the waist. A golden headband set with jewels is placed on her long, fair hair falling down her back. The edges of the nimbuses, the bell, the golden elements of St. Lucia's costume are made convex. At the bottom, added later, a braided pattern.
