Church of St. Matthew (San Matteo), Genoa, 1870-1880. Founded (1125) by Martino Doria, a Benedictine monk, transformed (1278). View of the façade from the north-west. In In its portal there is a mosaic, and under the right window there is a relief from an ancient sarcophagus. The church is preceded by the square of the same patron saint (Piazza San Matteo) - on the left side there is a fragment of the Branca Doria palace.
