Church of Nuestra Señora de Rocamador (Our Lady of Rocamador), Valencia de Alcántara, Extremadura, Spain, 15th century, (2008). The marriage between the King of Portugal, Don Manuel "the Fortunate" and Doña Isabel, daughter of the Catholic Monarchs, took place here in October 1497. The present church was built in 1546, but was seriously damaged in 1664 after the war between Spain and Portugal. It was rebuilt at the end of the 17th century.
