Spring Landscape with a Pond, 1902. A village with gently undulating green fields and meadows stretching into the background. The buildings are nearly drowned by the treetops covered with fresh foliage and a thicket of bright flowers. The impression of the richness of spring is emphasised by irregular bands of golden flowers, wildflowers and herbs growing in the meadow in the foreground. The land is divided in the middle of the composition by a dark-blue, tranquil pond whose waters mirror the blue, cloud-filled, sky.
