Landscape with Ruins, 2nd half of 18th century. Additional Info: The right-hand section of the painting represents a set of Ionic columns with damaged shafts and fragments of the entablature, supporting arcades. Next to them, there is a section of a fluted shaft. These architectural elements show visible signs of damage and are covered in shrubbery. A seashore with minuscule human figures extends at their feet. Further down the shore rises a rectangular building, probably a lighthouse, next to which, by the water, a set of fortifications can be seen along with mountains in the background. Sailing boats are floating on the water.
