View of Krakow, 1652. Additional Info: This painting presents a vast panorama of Krakow showing its distinctive buildings, such as St Mary's Church and Wawel from a northwest perspective, from the suburbs located in the area of today's Karmelicka and Dluga streets. In the foreground, the artist has painted a small genre scene depicting a group of people, perhaps merchants heading to the city, and a woman with a cow. It is one of the earliest paintings of a view of Krakow.
