Friendship and Hatred; Jonathan, David and Saul, c1290-c1300. 'Amitié'. At top left a crowned female figure (St Margaret of Antioch?) stands on a dragon holding a dove. 'Haine'. At top right a standing man appears to be ordering a kneeling falconer to set his hawk against the dove. Below left: King David and Jonathan embrace. Below right: Saul threatens David's life; Saul [or David?] enthroned, points a spear at David [or Saul?] who is tuning a harp. From "La Somme le Roy".
